Medical Corps of the U.S. Army is a staff corps of the u.s army medical department consisting of medical officers. Physicians with either and M.D. or a D.O. degree at least one year of postgraduate clinical training and state medical license. Accordingly, their work may include conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting tests, diagnosing illnesses, developing treatment plans, care coordination, performing procedures, prescribing medications, clinical research, advising on preventive health care, and doing first assist in surgery. They provide several assistance to troops.
